Day 1: Machame Gate (1,800m) – Machame Camp (3,000m)

Registration and start of the trek through the rainforest.

Hiking: 5-7 hours.

Day 2: Machame Camp – Shira Camp (3,840m)

Ascend through moorland with stunning views of Kibo Peak.

Hiking: 4-6 hours.

Day 3: Shira Camp – Lava Tower (4,630m) – Barranco Camp (3,960m)

Acclimatization day: climb high and sleep low.

Hiking: 6-8 hours.

Day 4: Barranco Camp – Karanga Camp (4,035m)

Climb the famous Barranco Wall.

Hiking: 4-5 hours.

Day 5: Karanga Camp – Barafu Camp (4,640m)

Prepare for the summit attempt.

Hiking: 3-4 hours.

Day 6: Barafu Camp – Uhuru Peak (5,895m) – Mweka Camp (3,100m)

Midnight summit push to the Roof of Africa.

Descend to Mweka Camp.
